JM VELLAME was created in 2018 with the mission of offering service and product alternatives with high quality and strict regulatory compliance for the Brazilian diagnostic market, often in need of sustainable solutions.
The company was founded by Julio Vellame, initially to act as the commercial representative of Eckert & Ziegler in the North, Northeast and Midwest regions of Brazil, as well as to provide maintenance for Nuclear Medicine equipment.
Over time, the company expanded its activities and team, supporting demands in diagnostic imaging maintenance, Philips representation for MRI and CT, and the sale and redeployment of PET-CT systems — consolidating VELLAME as the largest independent PET-CT service provider in Brazil.

In addition to local stock reserved for contracts with parts coverage, our multi-source supply strategy increases access and speeds up delivery:
Do not confuse the equipment manufacturer with the part manufacturer. Electronic boards, computers, motors and servo motors are not produced by GEHC, Siemens, Canon, Philips etc. They come from specialized manufacturers that are often willing to supply the market directly.
Because of a more mature market, the United States has several warehouses with ISO 13485:2016 certification, comparable to the OEMs themselves, supplying high-quality parts.
As a conventional option, parts can still be purchased from the original equipment manufacturer whenever this is the best solution for the customer.
*We are authorized by ANVISA (Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency) and the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service to import medical equipment parts. Do not accept parts that entered Brazil illegally or have unknown origin. It is not worth the risk.

To legally provide maintenance services on medical equipment in Brazil, the company must be compliant with local Health Surveillance (VISA) and ANVISA regulations. Every supplier must be approved in the healthcare provider’s quality system. ANVISA has already clarified, through RDC Nº 02/2010, that the healthcare institution is autonomous and responsible for risk management of its installed equipment.
Importing spare parts does not require a DDR (declaration from the registration holder). Only complete medical devices are subject to ANVISA marketing authorization. (Technical Note Nº 23/2020/SEI/GCPAF/GGPAF/DIRE5/ANVISA – in Portuguese)
We have different SLAs (Service Level Agreements) depending on your city and contract type. After the first response, we keep an active communication channel to provide continuous updates on the system recovery and release.
For stand-alone service calls we provide a 3-month warranty for parts and services, considering the same defect and symptom. For time-and-material calls, the warranty applies to parts only.
For parts already in Brazil, we usually ship via air cargo with next-day delivery. For imported parts shipped express (FedEx, DHL), the average lead time is around 10 business days.
